Fennel Prosciutto Pom Salad and White Bean Soup

Big Man Bakes

It is not often that a sweet tooth comes my way and when it does, I’m so ready to try something that looks like it will hit the spot. I have to admit, I am  bit tired of the cupcake craze, but that would not stop me from trying a new take on the childhood classic.  So I was off to Big Man Cakes, the name alone made me curious. Is there really a Big Man? Yes, and he makes really BIG cupcakes (see penny scale test below)

Seared Ahi Tuna with Champagne Vinagrette

Always on the lookout for new easy ways of  getting fish on the table, I thought would try hand at what is a staple on any most sushi and/or Asian fusion menus.  I decided to do a take that rebels against traditional Asian flavors of ponzu and sesame oil and wanted to go for a smooth sharper champagne vinaigrette.  The experiment lead to a clean light and crisp flavor: Success!  More

Ryan Korban

I first discovered Ryan Korban when looking for masculine yet modern influences in design. Ryan’s delicate ability to infuse a sense of timelessness with a sexy virility is a skill that is at time hard to pinpoint in a button tufted world of dominated by feminine florals. More
